Red Carpet Photo Contest.

The Faery Queen's paparazzi will take your photo on the red carpet as you enter the ball. The red carpet photos are a remembrance for the Faery Queen so she can appreciate the finery of every guest that enters the gates. In appreciation, she will give away 2 GA tickets to her favorite photo (and costume) for the 2026 Faery Ball

Lou Anna Claveau

Lou Anna Claveau is the Chair of the 5th Faery Ball costume contest. She has been costuming and designing her own creations since 1987. She has competed locally in contests with Coast Con. Her first creation was a Sea Elf. Her latest creation, Nyx, is a dark fae so named after the Goddess of Night. She sews her own creations as well as does her own makeup. She learned makeup alongside her brother as he attended theater classes at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. After a long sabbatical she returned as Lady Loki. She is an author, Geek Therapist and holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama.

Mary State

Mary was the Chair of the 4th Faery Ball costume contest. She has had many places that she has called home but for the last 18 years, Jackson, Mississippi, has been her home and heart.   She is a member of the VIP Platinum Team for McKesson Medical Surgical.  When she retires, she plans to spend her time creating exciting new garments and accessories. Over the last 14 years, she has been active with the Society of Creative Anachronism, researching and recreating pre 17th century arts, culture, and combat. She submitted her first handsewn garment to the SCA Arts and Sciences competition and won the novice division.  She continues to create garments from several eras as well as teach other members how to create their own garments. She enjoys being part of the Shire of Iron Ox demonstration team which educates the public at libraries, schools, Celtic Fest, and the Jackson Comic-Con. She has a variety of interests which include fencing, calligraphy, and illumination.  She also loves the water and is a certified scuba and rescue diver. She enjoys trying new activities as well as finding more ways to express her creative side.

Savanna Styers

Hello I’m Savanna the owner of styles by Vanna. We specialize in costumes and cloaks and accessories . Worked at a RPG shop where we were in character and costumes everyday for 2 year’s. Was also in charge of cosplay karaoke. I love fashion and any reason to dress up in a costume or cosplay! I am a seamstress so I could judge quality of homemade items ! I work events most weekends and Tuesday I’m hard to reach but am available most other days.
