Faery Court Masquerade Ball Code of Conduct and event rules.
The Faery-Ball is an immersive Venetian Masquerade Style Formal Ball where you are transported between the worlds to the Autumn Faery Queen's Court. Create memories while you mix and mingle with citizens of all realms who have gathered on neutral ground at the Faery Court for an evening of fun while also raising money for a good cause. Enjoy the high energy dancing and the Elegance of beautiful attire.
Faery-Ball is a business serving like-minded individuals sharing a love for costuming around the archetype of the Faery / Fantasy realm with the core values of Creativity, Love of Art, Honor, Integrity, Civility, Safety, Consent, Collaboration, Aesthetics, Immersion, Sacred Space, Courtiers, Privacy, Neutral Ground and Philanthropy. Our mission is to create a between the worlds, faery fantasy experience we can share and express together. Faery-Ball is for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
By participating in the Faery-Ball community and events, all patrons agree to abide by this Code of Conduct in order to provide a safe, premium, and immersive entertainment experience for all.
THE BASIC RUNDOWN: Respect everyone’s personal space, no touching or photography without consent. Faery / Elf ears are encouraged. When in doubt, wear black. No illegal drugs or outside food. If anything makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable please LOOK FOR ONE OF THE FAERY QUEEN'S ADVISORS immediately.
All patrons are expected to abide by the following:
By participating in the Faery-Ball community and events, all patrons agree to abide by this Code of Conduct in order to provide a safe, premium, and immersive entertainment experience for all.
1. ADULTS ONLY: All participants must be at least eighteen (18) years of age with government issued photo ID unless otherwise stated. No minors are allowed at Faery-Ball events without express, written pre-approval by Faery-Ball management.
2. PRIVACY: Faery-Ball events are private events and management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. “Outer Court” events are advertised and ticketed to the public with anyone who agrees to the Code of Conduct welcome.
3. CIVILITY: respect the personal space of others. All patrons are expected to act as proper Fae ladies and gentlemen. NO touching without express consent.
4. DRUGS: NO illegal drugs.
5. NO outside food.
6. PROP WEAPONS must be peace tied. This includes costume weapons unless they are for use in pre-approved performances and have been expressly permitted in writing in advance by Faery-Ball management.
7. ANTI-HARASSMENT: NO harassment of others at Faery-Ball events or social media forums. Faery-Ball is a diverse community that welcomes all genders, ethnicities, national origins, religions, and sexual orientations. Harassment of any patron in any form is not tolerated and may result in banishment from the event or community without a refund at the discretion of Faery-Ball management.
SAFETY: Patrons who feel unsafe or uncomfortable with the conduct of others are encouraged immediately report the situation to ONE OF THE FAERY QUEEN'S ADVISORS WEARING A WHITE BADGE.
8. PHOTO POLICY: NO photography without express consent. NO professional photography unless pre-approved in writing by Faery-Ball management and wearing an official Faery-Ball photo pass. At publicly announced events you may use your personal devices to take photographs for personal use only with permission of all people in the photographs. Please use the hashtag #FaeryBall on social media.
9. NEUTRAL GROUND: in regard to the alternative community, all patrons attend as individuals. Leave non-Faery-Ball titles and politics outside events and the community.
10. NO MUGGLE POLITICS: Faery-Ball strives to create a safe place to escape the Muggle-Mundane world. Please refrain from discussing real world politics at Faery-Ball events and within the community so you can “share a faery fantasy with your friends.”
11. NO SOLICITING: promoting, recruiting, or distribution of flyers for non-affiliated events or organizations without express, written permission from Faery-Ball management.
12. DRESS CODE: The Faery-Ball dress code is strictly enforced. Refer to the dress code at https://faery-ball.com/costume-inspiration and on our Pinterest page. When in doubt wear black on black. Faery / Elf ears are encouraged. We want everyone that thinks this event sounds fun to be able to participate. Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in expulsion from the event or community without refund at the discretion of Faery-Ball management. Please help us uphold these high standards of conduct so everyone can enjoy the Faery-Ball experience in safety and comfort.
